Carbon-ceramic brakes are valuable equipment, but visual appearance and odometer mileage alone do not establish remaining service life.
Identify the system and records
Confirm whether the car retains its factory carbon-ceramic rotors and calipers. Share invoices for pad, rotor or caliper work and note any track use or damage history that is known.
If a dealer or specialist has recorded rotor measurements or wear values, include the complete report and date.
Photograph condition carefully
Capture each rotor and caliper through a clean wheel using even light. Show chips, impact marks, surface irregularities or warning messages without diagnosing from the image.
Brake dust, normal surface patterns and reflections can be misleading. Avoid promising a remaining percentage unless supported by an appropriate measurement.
Discuss needs before replacement
Carbon-ceramic components can be expensive, but pre-sale replacement is not automatically the best decision. A buyer may prefer to verify the system through its own inspection.
Disclose vibration, noise, pedal changes, alerts or specialist recommendations. Known safety concerns should be addressed through a qualified facility.
